“Ardi”(pithecus) ramidus
By now most people who follow science have heard of the release of studies about ardipithecus ramidus (“Ardi”), the 4.4 million year old ancestor of humanity. The significance of these findings (in or out of Creationist circles) is considerable. The main source for information is the massive coverage provided in Science magazine. Free access to the articles is available after registration. Highly recommended. Here are references to a couple of the original news releases from other agencies:

“Ardi” is female and the drawing extrapolated from analysis of the skeletal remains shows her breasts. Though this is obviously ‘scientific’, it’s interesting to note which media outlets show the entire drawing, and which show only from the shoulders up.
